Country Music History October 13

Today celebrates the birthdays of three country music artists.

Marie Osmond was born October 13, 1959 in Ogden, Utah.   Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania is the birthplace of Lacy J. Dalton, born in 1949.  And singer/songwriter Rhett Akins was born in 1969 in Valdosta, Georgia.

The Billboard country singles chart in 2001 found "Where I Come From" by Alan Jackson at the #1 spot.
