A Minnesota native is front-and-center in today's history!  Paulette Carlson was born in 1953 in Northfield, Minnesota.  Paulette became the lead singer for Highway 101, belting out such hits as "Cry, Cry, Cry" and "The Bed You Made For Me".

Born in 1932, Dorothy Marsh in McMinnville, Tennessee.  You know her better as the great Dottie West.  Dottie's signature song is "Country Sunshine".  She joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1964.

Palestine, Texas is the birthplace for Gene Watson, born in 1943.  Gene had several hits in the 70's and 80's including "Love In The Hot Afternoon" and "Fourteen Carat Mind".

And finally, in 2003 the #1 single on the Billboard country chart was Tim McGraw and "Real Good Man".
