Country Music History March 2

This guy does more than sing!  March 2, 1999, the very talented Garth Brooks played in a spring training game at the San Diego Padres' camp in Arizona.  His first turn at bat, Brooks struck out.

"Wild Angels" by Martina McBride is #1 on the Billboard country singles chart in 1996.

And in 1962, Jon Bon Jovi was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  Jon had a huge pop-country cross-over hit with Jennifer Nettles in 2006 "Who Says You Can't Go Home".
