Country Music History March 18

Happy Friday and Happy Birthday to Charley Pride who was born March 18, 1938 in Sledge, Mississippi.  Not only is Pride an awesome singer and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, but he also had a short career playing baseball.

Little Big Town member Phillip Sweet was born in 1974 in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

Looking at country hits, in 1989 "From A Jack To A King" by Ricky VanShelton was #1 on the Billboard charts.  Toby Keith held that position in 2000 with "How Do You Like Me Know?", and in 2006, it was Kenny Chesney and "Living In Fast Forward".
