Where has the week gone?  I thought I had my posting done for the week, but it slipped away without me even knowing!  So here we go, albeit a little late!

"I Swear" singer, John Michael Montgomery was born January 20, 1965 in Danville, Kentucky.  He also had a mega hit with "I Can Love You Like That".

Also celebrating a birthday today is Brantley Gilbert, born in Jefferson, Georgia.  In addition to being an outstanding singer of "Country Must Be Country Wide" and other hits, he's a very talented songwriter, penning "My Kinda Party" and Dirt Road Anthem" for Jason Aldean.

Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1968 we find Merle Haggard and "Sing Me Back Home" in the #1 spot.  In 2001, it was Sara Evans and "Born to Fly".
