Country Music History February 16

February 16 - hummmm ---- let's see what the country music history books have for us today.  Really not too much to report, but here goes.  Tammy Wynette and George Jones were married in Georgia February 16, 1969.

One of the founding members of The Kentucky Headhunters, Doug Phelps was born in 1960 in Arkansas.

And finally, a huge, huge hit that has remained a classic even now, "Young Love" recorded by Sonny James was #1 on the Billboard country singles chart way back in 1957.
