Country Music History December 1

I have to admit, when I first heard this song, I thought, this one will never make it big.  Boy, I was wrong!  December 1, 2014 Capitol released "Girl Crush" by Little Big Town to radio. The more I heard it, the more it grew on me.  "Girl Crush" proved to be a huge success.  It held the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs for thirteen weeks; was awarded 2015 CMA Song of the Year and Single of the Year awards.  Received the 2015 Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.  2016 Academy of  Country Music Best Country Song and CMT Music's Group/Duo Video of the Year.  Critics gave the song rave reviews. Taste of Country's Billy Dukes commented "Karen Fairchild's lead on Little Big Town's new single "Girl Crush" may be the best vocal performance of the year".

In 2012, another great female country artist, Shania Twain, began a 120 show, two-year contract with Caesars Palace in Las  Vegas to perform at their Colosseum venue.  That would have been one show to catch while in Vegas.  Shania can sing like no other.
