Back in 1940 in Auburndale, Florida, Bobby Braddock was born.  Country Music Hall of Fame member, Braddock wrote many country songs including "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and "People are Crazy".

"(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear" by Elvis Presley becomes the singer's first #1 Billboard single back in 1957. 

Miss Terri Clark was born in Montreal, Quebec this date in 1968.  Terri had hits with "When Boy Meets Girl", and "Girls Lie Too".

"I Don't Even Know Your Name" by Alan Jackson is #1 on the Billboard chart in 1995. 

And in 2010, an investor group purchased the Texas Rangers baseball team for 593 million dollars at an auction.  Buyers include Nolan Ryan and Charley Pride.
