The Commonweal Theatre Company is ready to open the doors for their 29th season of drama, comedy and music.  This sparkling gem is nestled in the tiny town of Lanesboro, Minnesota.  The theatre itself, as well as the performances, easily rival any "big city" theatre.  As a season pass holder for several years,  I've laughed until my sides hurt, sung silently, sat on the edge of my seat anticipating the next scene, and have been moved by emotions so deep that I've left the theatre in tears.  I keep going back each season because I simply can't get enough.

The core ensemble includes Stela Burdt, Adrienne Sweeney, Megan Pence, Hal Cropp, Scott Dixon,  Brandt Roberts, David Hennessey and Jeremy VanMeter, joined by several other fine actors and the apprentice company.  You would be hard-pressed to find a more talented group of individuals.
This season begins April 14 with "When We Dead Awaken" by Henrik Ibsen adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher.  Don't forget to attend the 20th and final Ibsen Fest April 21-23.  Also on the performance calendar this season "The Elephant Man", "Steel Magnolias", "Ghost-Writer", and the final performance of the season "The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge".
Tickets are available on their website or call 800 657 7025.  If you have never attended a performance at The Commonweal Theatre, go just once.  You'll be hooked.
