There are few things more Minnesota than taking in a Twins game at Target Field, and the team has just announced some new upgrades that will make your visit to the 'ol ballpark even more fun this spring and summer.

According to this Ballpark Digest story, the Twins are getting rid of the Metropolitan Club-- that was the high-fallutin' restaurant in the right-field corner that only season ticket holders could get into-- and replacing it with a new restaurant and space for ALL fans (that'd be you and me) called Bat & Barrel.

And it sounds pretty cool. It'll be filled with Twins memorabilia from their World Series-winning '87 and '91 seasons, and is designed to be a place for all fans to hang out. It'll feature "operable glass windows, state-of-the-art video elements and signature food and beverage options," the story said.

And, you know how crowded it gets if you use Gates 29 and 34 to get into Target Field?(Those are the gates near the Twins Store, which the story said 60 percent of fans use-- especially if you parked in the ramp near Target Center.) Well, the story says they're expanding that area by 1,300 square feet, to try to eliminate the bottle-necks that happen there when everybody's trying enter and leave the stadium. Nice!

And, finally, here's my favorite: The Twins are adding something called Draft 34, which is pretty much my dream come true: A new tap wall in the main concourse that will feature 22 different craft beers from around Twins Territory! Bottom's up, everybody!

And, of course, after making the playoffs last year, it's looking like the Twins should be even better on the field this season, too. Anybody up for Opening Day?!?
