Bulldogs Sweep Knights in Volleyball Action

Submitted by Ben Aberg.  Thursday night, we brought you more volleyball action on KFIL with the Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs battling the Kingsland Knights. The gym was packed in Spring Valley, with a Parents Night ceremony before the game.  As for the play on the court, there was a battle. In the first set, we saw 4 ties and 3 lead changes before PEM went with some great serving by Carley Ranta and a 7-0 run; the Bulldogs took set one 25-15. Set number two saw 5 ties before a 9-0 run by Plainview-Elgin-Millville put them ahead for good on their way to a 25-14 win in set two. Set number three had some close moments and good resilience by the home Knights, but the Bulldogs had answers and big hits; P-E-M led the whole way through the third on their way to a 25-18 win for a sweep of Kingsland.
