Tuesday night, KFIL brought you more high school girls basketball on the airwaves. The 3rd-ranked class AA Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs came out victorious against the St. Charles Saints by a score of 63-38.

The early going was a very tight contest, with the score 9 minutes in 14-10, then a tie ballgame at 20-20. The PEM Bulldogs then fed their post players. Plainview-Elgin-Millville went on a 13-0 run and went on to a halftime lead of 37-26. Early turnovers and defensive pressure forced the usage of a number of St. Charles Saints timeouts in the first half, as well. That became a disadvantage as PEM turned up the heat in the second half.

Ultimately, PEM pulled away, winning the ballgame by the 63-38 score.

KFIL Subway Player of the Game for the St. Charles Saints was Deja Mosley. The senior guard scored 6 of her 8 points in the second half, and directed much of the traffic for the Saints offense.

Bill gave co-Players of the Game honors to Emmaline Polson and Hayley Dessner. Dessner scored 10 points on Tuesday night, adding 5 or 6 blocked shots; Polson led the way scoring with 20 points.

The Kingsley Mercantile Game Ball Award was awarded to Morgan Shindelar. The senior guard scored a dozen and found a bunch of assists going over the top to her teammates in the post.
