Ben grew up in Mabel, Minnesota before going on to get a degree from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. He spent much of his youth listening to Twins games on KFIL. Ben moved on and wrote articles for his college sports website and also wrote Rochester Honkers game summaries while interning with Townsquare Media in Rochester. Ben likes most all the sports, though he knows the letdown that is associated with the Minnesota teams. One of his first CD's was Alan Jackson, and you can hear a mix of country music, from Merle Haggard to Taylor Swift when Ben is on air.

Founders Day This Weekend!
Make the trip over to Caledonia this Saturday (or even Friday night) for Founders Day!

Gammel Dag Fest This Weekend!
This weekend, I will be spending a lot of time in the Peterson area, with the 36th Annual Gammel Dag Fest on Saturday.
The festivities begin at 8AM, with a parade of tractors. Then from about 10-4, there will be Norwegian folk art demonstrations, artists, vendors, horse and wagon rides, Peterson Station Museum tours (10-6), a gnome hunt, and I'm really interested in some Norwegian treats (it's bee
Future Country Star?
While browsing YouTube, I found something that I figure I should share. It looks like some Sunday fun school program, but at the end, this kid just starts singing a country tune. Watch until the end.
I don't remember that book of the Bible, but the kid sure knows his country music...
Dairy Days Fun On Warm Weekend
This past weekend was Dairy Days in Adams. Being June and Dairy Month and all, it's a town event that sticks. Though I was not able to make it to the outdoor movie on Friday night, and did not participate in any 5K on Saturday (I'm still training), there was a lot of fun to be had on Sunday...
Baseball Practice Mishap
Thursday night, I used some of my own equipment for baseball practice in Lanesboro. I am down one piece of lumber now. It's another Ben's fault.

The rest of the group started out with breakfast at the Spud Boy Diner, which I was not able to make...
Twins Oppenent Milks Cow
While listening to some Twins baseball on KFIL this weekend, I heard that some Angels and Twins players had been milking cows. I figured the Twins were more into it, but here's pitcher Blake Parker showing you how he does it.
Some good stuff there, and a cool score as well that night...
