Did you ever consider deer meat to be fast food? Well, in a nod to the fall hunting season in many parts of the country, one restaurant chain is giving the idea a try...

Just today, fast food restaurant chain Arby's announced that it will be adding venison to the menu at 17 Arby's franchises around the country, including four right here in Minnesota. The sandwich will be available for a limited time only.

According to an Arby's press release, the sandwich will feature "a thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions topped with a juniper berry sauce on a toasted specialty roll. The venison is marinated in garlic, salt and pepper and then cooked for three hours to juicy, tender perfection. The juniper berry sauce is a Cabernet steak sauce infused with juniper berries, giving the already unique sandwich another signature twist."

The restaurant locations in Minnesota that will be serving this interesting menu item are:

1690 Park Place Blvd, St. Louis Park, MN 55416
704 Highway 33 South, Cloquet, MN 55720
348 Lincoln Ave. SE, St. Cloud, MN 56301
3275 First St. S, St. Cloud, MN 56301

The venison sandwich will be available from November 4-6, 2016 at these particular locations.

Arby's has even gone so far as to create several ads to tout its new venison offering, including this one...
