There's a quick way and easy way for you to find out if yours made the list of 60 million vehicles!

Whether it's about tires, electrical mishaps or even it's computer equipment that's malfunctioning, it's always scary to find out your vehicle has a recall issued to it. Luckily anytime I've ever gotten a notification about a recall, it's been super minor like the automatic windows motor fails or something. Granted, it would suck to have them die on a rainy day but considering a problem like that will never cause my car to explode is a huge relief.

What's really scary is that according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, there's 60 million vehicles on the roads that have yet to be fixed! It's reasonably easy to check and see if your car is one of those on a recall list.

All it takes is a quick search online at the NHTSA WEBSITE, and type in your VIN #. Your VIN # is like your cars very own Social Security number. That 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is filled with important details, ranging from its engine type to where it was built.

Curious, I typed in a 2013 Nissan Rogue and found out it does have a recall issued to it, but luckily my VIN said my Rogue was in the clear... Whew!

Just for your own piece of mind, I would take the time to go on there and see for yourself whether your car, truck or SUV is safe to be on the road... before it's too late.
