A Look Back at Southeast Minnesota’s Summer Events

Summer's over and fall is definitely in the air. The fall high school sports season is in full swing and before we know it Thanksgiving and, yes, even Christmas will be upon us.

But let's admit it, there's nothing better than the summer town festival and fair season in southeast Minnesota! Whether it's mid-May with Spring Grove Syttende Mai, the Whalan Standstill Parade and Preston Trout Days, or the end of the summer with Hesper-Mabel Steam Engine Days, every weekend, there is a wonderful festival going on in one town or another in our area! And who can forget all of the area's fun county fairs? We Minnesotans sure know how to celebrate summer!
