If your life is anything like mine, all your "PTO" days get eaten up by sick kids all winter long. So I'm down to just 2 to use free and clear to entertain my kiddos during spring break. We are heading north an hour to the cities to check out a few of these awesome day trip destinations for the family.
3 Quick Day Trip Spring Break Destinations
  1. Crayola Experience: If you haven't already heard about this colorful playland, it's a great place to ignite the creativity of your kids with a wide variety of activities. Located in the Mall of America, you can easily spend a day. Check out Troy's Crayola Experience. It's easily a 3-4 hour excursion that you can get in between breakfast and naptime or for mid-afternoon fun.
  2. Edinborough Indoor Park is a full acre of fun all indoors. The "Peak" is a nearly 2,00 sq. ft. climbing, low crawling, slip sliding Northwoods adventure. It's a great place to let your kids "run wild". If you have little ones, they have a special area just for them. Little Peak is the toddler area for children ages 4 and under. Daily admission is only $7.50. SPECIAL EVENT: They are featuring a magician on Thursday that's free to check out.
  3. Big Thrill Factory is great for your older looking for a "Big Thrill" this place is it! Here you'll get bowling, laser tag, 3-story kids fun factory, black light ropes course, trampoline, mini golf, bump n' spin cars and much more! Endless day fun!
