The Rushford-Peterson Trojans used a 19-0 run in the second half to take down the Chatfield Gophers 62-42 at Rushford-Peterson High School Tuesday Night.

The Trojans led at the break 28-26, but the Gophers led for a majority of the first half. Austin Hines played great in the game for Chatfield, finishing the first half with 10 points. He found success in the paint, and helped the Gophers get a 17-12 lead early.

The Trojans were able to cut the lead and take a 21-19 lead, but the Gophers were not going away quietly, as they retook thee lead at 24-22. Rushford-Peterson tied it up at 24, and then went into the half with a 28-26 lead.

Reid Johnson hit a 3 for Chatfield to take a 29-28 lead, but the Trojans went on a 19-0 run to take a 45-29 lead in the 2nd half. The Trojans were able to create turnovers and get easy baskets on the other end. Jacob Paulson was incredible, finishing with 20 points.

The Trojans never let the Gophers get back into the game, as they continued to keep the pressure on, and not allowing the Gophers to get easy looks near the rim, which is what made them successful in the first half. The Trojans were able to keep their foot on the gas and take the 62-42 win.

Johnson and Hines both finished with 12 points to lead the Gophers, while Paulson's 20 led the Trojans. Payton Hahn finished with 10, while Landon Skalet finished with 14.
